Moonshine is changing the game in the Montreal nightlife scene and for their 3rd anniversary this month we teamed up for a special mixtape by Bonbon Kojak

This mix gives a taste of something familiar, and then moves away in different styles and marriages around African sounds. An uplifting selection of songs influenced by Ivorian and Congolese music kept at the end of the mix. It also take inspiration in the guitars that plays in Maquis and African bars + in the music of Dollar DJ, DJ Arsenal and DJ Arafat, who are Bonbon Kojak’s favorites.

For Bonbon, Pierre Kwenders and the other members of Moonshine, a full moon always means that a memorable party is coming on the following Saturday. They organize some of the best damn soirée in the city – always in different and refreshing venues – that are inclusive and advocating diversity and positive vibes. The collective is attentive to presenting a wide range of emerging talent, but they also feature some big names like Win Butler, Kaytranada and most recently Dam-Funk.

Follow Moonshine on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM for any updates and make sure you plan on going to their Halloween Special coming this Saturday, October 28th.
