Tell us a little bit more about you.
I’m a 26 year old woman from Montreal. I started analog photography almost 3 years ago and fell in love with it. I just needed a distraction and hobby from my daily routine and ended up falling head over heels for it. It rapidly became an escape and an easy way to meet like-minded people. I started The Womanhood Project with my friend Sara Hini last summer. I usually shoot women’s bodies but love trying new things out since I’m still discovering the analog photography world.
Why analog?
The results are almost always a surprise and I love surprises. You can’t see your shot right away and you need to be creative and can’t see on a screen what you liked or didn’t as you’re taking the pictures of your subject. It forces you to think twice before taking a shot, especially since you also have a limited amount of shots on a roll. The imperfections that sometimes come with analog photography is what I like the most.
