With “Fotomonday“, each week we showcase the work of women photographers from around the world.
Bologoe is small place located approximately half-way between Moscow and St. Petersburjg on the railway route connecting the two capitals. When the most life in Russia is concentrated in big cities this kind of place seems to be quiet and frozen as if nothing happens there. But it’s not true. Due to project of ‘Territory practice’ (curator: Julia Bychkova) I was assignment to photograph local’s portraits in Bologoe for the street exhibition in the center of town.
Olya Ivanova (b. 1981 in Moscow) is a Russian photographer. She received a BA in Literature in 2004 and graduated from Institute of Contemporary Art (Moscow) in 2014. She received several awards and her work is included into museum and private collections.
